Absolute Beginner Yoga
Never practiced yoga? This class is designed as an introduction to yoga practice in a supportive environment and is welcoming to the apprehensive student. If you want a gentle way to learn more about yoga, this class is for you.
Gentle Yoga
Increase flexibility and strength through a combination of centering and breath work, warm-up stretching, gentle hatha postures, and guided relaxation. Emphasis is on body and mind awareness, safe alignment, and cultivating compassionate self-acceptance.
Hatha Yoga (All Levels)
These classes are suitable for beginners, masters and everyone in between. These classes offer modifications so that you can customize your class to fit your specific needs and level of expertise.
Yoga & Meditation
Finding balance through yoga and meditation. Flex, Stretch, Strengthen and calm your body, mind, heart and nervous system in this class that offers a complete series of yoga postures followed by and integration period where we will explore a variety of different types of meditation practices.
Yoga Flow
The sequences offered in the Yoga Flow style of practice are designed to generate heat, build strength, and increase flexibility. Drawing from its roots in traditional Ashtanga Vinyāsa practice, this course will offer creative, flowing, breath-based postural sequences to challenge and inspire. Adaptations will be offered to help you to personalize your practice.
Pilates (Beginner)
This holistic exercise is designed to condition body and mind, help strengthen core muscles, improve posture, and increase flexibility.
Pilates (Intermediate/Advanced)
This holistic exercise is designed to condition body and mind, help strengthen core muscles, improve posture, and increase flexibility. Please note that participants must have completed Beginner Pilates before taking Intermediate/Advanced Pilates.
Qigong with Nona
Pronounced Chi Kung (Qi = Energy, Gong = Practice), this is a graceful form of exercise and meditation which energizes, relaxes, and rejuvenates your entire being. It is easy to learn, suitable for all ages and fitness levels, and is performed standing or sitting. Each class includes a warm-up, short meditation, proper breathing, flowing movements, invigorating self-massage, and energy cleansing exercise.
Tai Chi and Qigong with Nona
Students will learn the 24 (Chen Style) Tai Chi forms and Qigong. You will also learn breathing techniques that build internal energy while moving it through the body meridians. Both are a graceful form of exercise and meditation which energizes, relaxes, and rejuvenates your entire being. It is easy to learn, suitable for all ages and fitness levels, and is performed standing or sitting. Each class includes a warm-up, short meditation, proper breathing, flowing movements, invigorating self-massage, and energy cleansing exercise. The flowing, mindful movements strengthen the body and oil the joints while improving mood and bone density. Easy and fun to learn. Students confirm each class leaves them refreshed, relaxed and energized.
Tai Chi (Beginner) with Eduardo
In the Beginner class, we will be teaching the 9 Movements form, which was created by Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang as an introduction to Tai Chi. Silk Reeling Qigong is comprised of 19 different exercises, 4 of which will be taught in this class. Basic theory on Yin-Yang and energy channels will be taught in class.
Tai Chi (Intermediate)
In the Intermediate class, we will teach the 19 Movements Form, which builds on the previous form, adding more complex postures. Complete beginners are also welcome to join the beginner/intermediate class. Silk Reeling Qigong is comprised of 19 different exercises. Exercises 5 to 10 are taught at this level. Basic theory on Yin-Yang and energy channels will be taught in class.
