2021 Group Fitness Schedule

The CCA’s adult group fitness program (16+ years) includes a variety of well-balanced classes that will work on toning, muscle-strength, core-strength, cardio health, balance and flexibility. Our team of instructors love what they do and will help you achieve your fitness goals!

Level Definitions:

FIT:  These courses are for adults seeking the types of workouts in our old Adult Group Fitness program:  HIIT, Cardio Mix, Cardio Strength, etc.  Options will be given so you can adjust the level of intensity of your workout.

ACTIVE: These are mid-tempo/intermediate courses that will offer more of a challenge from the classes in the Gold level and a slower pace from the classes in the Fit level.

GOLD: These are courses from our old 50+ Group Fitness Program.

ALL LEVELS: If no level is indicated, the class is good for all levels.

FIT Level Classes

The CCA’s Fit Level Classes are for adults (16+ years) and include a variety of well-balanced classes that will work on toning, muscle-strength, core-strength, cardio health, balance, and flexibility.


CARDIO FIT: 
Classes will consist of 75% aerobic conditioning and 25% muscle toning, core conditioning, and balance training. Exercise options will be given to those who wish to work at a higher (or lower) intensity.

CARDIO FIT STRENGTH : This class will comprise of a ½-hour cardio and a ½-hour strength and stretch component using a variety of techniques and tools.

HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) involves bursts of high energy activity, followed by a period of rest or low intensity activity. The class will include cardio warm up; the HIIT portion can include exercises such as high knees, burpees, mountain climber and jumping jacks.

STRENGTH FIT: A challenging workout targeting all major muscle groups using weights and your own body’s resistance. (Participants will need to bring their own equipment.)

TRI FIT: This dynamic, fast-paced class is comprised of three equal segments of cardio, strength, and flexibility training.

VARIETY FIT: A rotating roster of instructors will provide a different type of workout each week.  Cardio, toning, and stretching will be featured.

ACTIVE Level Classes

Active Level classes are mid-tempo/intermediate courses good for all adults (16+).

CARDIO ACTIVE:  If you find the Fit Level courses too strenuous or the Gold Level courses not as challenging as you like, this class is for you.  It gives you a 20-25-minute cardio workout at a slower tempo, followed by toning and stretch segments.  Options will be given so you can adjust the level of intensity of your workout.

GOLD Level Classes

Gold Level classes are the perfect choice for older adults who want to have more energy, feel stronger, and be able to navigate daily life with a sense of physical confidence and greater ease.

CARDIO GOLD: These classes will be taught in a multi-level fashion. Exercise options will be given to those who wish to work at a higher (or lower) intensity. Classes will consist of approximately 20-25 minutes of aerobic conditioning followed by muscle toning, core conditioning, and balance training.

SOLID GOLD CARDIO: Do you like Latin dancing fitness classes?  This class is perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified class that recreates the original moves you love in those other Latin dance fitness classes.  Lower intensity, but still high energy and big fun!  Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility, and balance.

STRENGTH AND BALANCE GOLD:  This class will focus on core strength and posture.  Balance exercises will be included, with an emphasis on fall prevention.

ZUMBA® GOLD: Perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility, and balance!

ALL LEVEL Level Classes

Just as the name says, these classes are good for everyone regardless of level.  We can all benefit from stretching, muscle conditioning, and balance exercises.  And who doesn’t love a little dancing?

ALL STRETCH: Strength and flexibility go hand in hand. This class is dedicated to improving flexibility, releasing stress, and developing better posture and body awareness.

TONE & STRETCH: This is a full-body toning and flexibility workout to improve balance, posture, mobility, coordination, strength, and endurance.

ZUMBA: This is a cardiovascular workout, combining fun dance movements with fantastic Latin music. You will have so much fun you’ll forget you’re working out.

ZUMBA® TONING: It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and cardio workout with Latin-infused ZUMBA® moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. This class is the perfect way for enthusiasts to sculpt their bodies naturally while having a total blast!
