Chantelle McEwen - Program Director
  Chantelle's is returning for her second year as CDC's Program Director. Chantelle has been teaching Tap, Jazz and Ballet for 8 years. She has studied the ADAPT syllabus for 12 years in Tap and Jazz and has studied RAD ballet, pointe and modern dance for 15 years. She has participated in choreography for various dance shows and has successfully prepared several students for ADAPT examinations. She was also a member of the Ottawa Renegades Dance Team for two years performing at various venues. Chantelle is an extremely motivated dance instructor who enjoys challenging her students. She looks forward to the upcoming dance season.  
 


  Deanna Smith - Jazz and Ballet Instructor
  Deanna Smith has been dancing for 20 years and teaching for the past 5. She holds her Advanced level ADAPT and Advanced II RAD exams. She has won many awards and titles at competitions across Canada. She is currently working towards becoming an accredited teacher with the RAD and ADAPT syllabus. Deanna has trained all across North America and recently returned from teaching dance in Arizona. She has a true passion for dance and children which are evident in her energetic teaching style.  
 
 
  Amanda Bednarek - Ballet and Kinderdance Instructor
  Amanda Bednarek has been dancing for 12 years. She has disciplined in Ballet (RAD), Pointe, Jazz and Modern dance styles. Amanda has participated in multiple musical productions as a member of the dance chorus and has competed in dance competitions. Amanda is currently in grade 12 at Canterbury High School and in her final year of the Arts Canterbury Dance Program, where she studies both Ballet and Modern dance. She has been a member of the Canterbury Dance Center since she was 7 years old and has assisted with Saturday classes 4 years prior to teaching. This is Amanda's first time teaching Kinderdance and Ballet and she is very excited to share her love of dance with all her students.  
 

  Sarah Hamilton - Tap and Kinderdance Instructor
  This is Sarah’s first year teaching at CDC and she is extremely excited to get to work. She has been dancing for 14 years and has studied in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary, stage and pointe. She has prepared and studied for examinations in the RAD, BATD, CDTA and ADAPT syllabuses, and has competed in various dance forms for 9 years. She has been teaching dance for 3 years, and was a teacher’s aid for two years before that. She is in her last year at Canterbury High School in their Dance program. Sarah encourages her students to work their hardest, but always makes sure they’re having fun.
